Swing Bed Program

Swing Bed Program

What is a Swing Bed Program?
Our Swing Bed Program exists to meet the needs of patients who are in a transition phase of illness or recovery, those whose medical needs cannot be met at home or in a long term care facility but whose condition no longer requires admission to an acute care unit. Our Swing Bed program provides rehabilitation and recovery services based on patient’s individual needs.

Who would benefit from a Swing Bed Program?
Patients requiring acute medical care are usually hospitalized for a short time. Upon discharge from an acute hospital stay, some patients require further medical care to help them return to the level of functioning they had prior to their hospitalization. Snoqualmie Valley Hospital’s Swing Bed Program helps patients achieve this goal through its hospital-based provision of skilled nursing care and rehabilitation.
