As of January 31st, 2008 Snoqualmie Valley Hospital (Public Hospital District No. 4) will discontinue operating the Lake Wilderness Medical Clinic. Ken Winslow, ARNP and Karen LaJambe, ARNP will be available to provide referrals for patients to new providers and to provide medication refills for patients with chronic conditions until 1/31/08 at Lake Wilderness Medical Clinic. After 1/31/08 patients’ medication refills and needs for continuing care must be addressed by their new primary care provider. After the clinic will not be staffed, all medical records will be stored at North Bend Medical Clinic.

On January 1st, 2008 the ownership of Lake Wilderness Specialty Clinic, will transfer from Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to a private practice. Because of this transition patients’ medical records have been transferred to our other specialty clinic: Snoqualmie Specialty Clinic, in Snoqualmie. The decision to shutdown the clinics was a difficult one. We are working with the City of Maple Valley and other businesses to find another healthcare provider to take over the clinics so healthcare is still a viable part of the Maple Valley business community.
