Molly Bowling is Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation’s first recipient of the Employee Dependent Child Scholarship. She is the daughter of North Bend Medical Clinic’s Linda Bowling. With the help of the scholarship, Molly plans to continue her education this fall at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.
Jenna Barnes was awarded the High School Scholarship presented this year in memory of Carolyn Lavallee, long time and beloved local elementary teacher who passed away in 2005. Jenna will enroll this fall at Western Washington University in Bellingham to pursue a career in healthcare.
The Foundation was delighted to welcome two new Board Members to our young but growing organization. Shah Pedersoli is a local attorney with experience providing legal counsel to health agencies. Her philanthropic activities include working with senior citizens, homeless youth and in fundraising for UNICEF. Scott Williams is a magazine writer and editor, member of the Society of Professional Journalists, as well as former wine shop owner in Snoqualmie.
It is the goal of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation to benefit the Hospital District and the community it serves in a variety of ways. This includes not only funding healthcare programs and new technologies, but also accepting donations from patients wishing to express their gratitude and those wanting to make a donation in honor of a loved one who has passed away.
