Snoqualmie Valley Hospital is continually working to reach out to its community. The hospital is growing and changing as are the needs of Snoqualmie Valley residents. This month the hospital established a new community advisory program and welcomed 21 Valley residents as community advisors. These advisors will serve as ambassadors for the hospital and will help shape the hospital’s future. The new advisors, who will meet bi-monthly, are: Joel Aune (superintendent of Snoqualmie Valley School District), Lisa Boyd (Licensed Midwife), Carolyn Brock (Boeing employee), Heidi Elvestrom (marketing/communications consultant), Mark Ghaly (Investment Advisor), Dave Gray (finance director, Eastside Fire and Rescue), Rick Green (retired Captain/Paramedic), Kathleen Halloran, (Naturopathic Physician), Karen LaJambe (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner), Lavonna Kennedy (senior citizen), Sonya Kirk (education coordinator, Hopelink), Sheila Kirkegaard (Practice Plan Administrator, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center), Leslie Oja (educator/mental health counselor) Richard Olsen (chaplain, Eastside Fire and Rescue) Shah Pedersoli, (lawyer) Debby Peterman, (health care consultant) Ron Spiegel, (Pediatrician) Michelle Walter, (student), Nancy Whitaker, (director, Encompass) Scott Williams, (writer for Washington Magazines) Lisa Yeager, and (director, Senior Services of Carnation).
