The mission of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation is to promote healthcare services, education, and research in the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas. Generous gifts from individual and corporations will enable the Foundation to fulfill its mission and help build healthy communities. The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation is funding two, $1,000 scholarships in 2007. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Mount Si High School who is planning to pursue a career in healthcare services. The other scholarship will be awarded to a dependent child of an employee of Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District.
A graduating senior from Mount Si High School will receive the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation Scholarship in Memory of Carolyn Lavallee. Carolyn was a dedicated wife, mother, and educator in the Snoqualmie School District who died of pancreatic cancer in October 2005. The Foundation is committed to encouraging young people to pursue careers in healthcare services and continue the fight against cancer. Applications for the Carolyn Lavallee scholarship can be found at Mount Si High School’s counseling center.
The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation also supports the employees at the hospital or its clinics by providing a scholarship to a dependent child to help offset the cost of education. Submit your completed application packet to the Human Resource Department at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital by 5:00 PM, April 25, 2007.
