Bio: I received my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of California at San Francisco, my Masters in Public Health from the University of California at Los Angeles, and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University.

I strive to provide patient-centered physical therapy that meets each patient’s individual goals and maximizes their overall function. I love my career because it is an ever-changing opportunity to give, learn and grow. I am proud to work at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital where the culture of the rehabilitation department encourages creativity and teamwork to provide therapy services in ways that strive to meet all of the health needs of the individual.

I have almost 20 years of experience in hospital acute care, outpatient services, and home health care working with adolescent through geriatric populations. I specialize in falls prevention and regaining balance and mobility for neurological populations such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. I also have extensive experience in rehabilitation of patients after surgeries and with a wide variety of orthopedic injuries.

I am a clinical instructor at the University of Washington in the Department of Rehabilitation, School of Physical Therapy, a published researcher in the Journal of the American Physical Therapy Association and a national presenter for the American Physical Therapy Association.

My personal interests include spending time with my family and friends, riding and training my rescued Thoroughbred ex-racehorse, skiing, and hiking with my dogs in the beautiful foothills of the Cascades.

Bio: I graduated from McGill University in Montreal Canada in 1996 with a BSC in Physical Therapy. I am a certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) and specialize in the following skills and techniques in my practice:

I am a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Rehab Medicine.

I have a diverse clinical background including hospital based orthopedics, geriatrics, geropsych and neurology, as well as Certification in Neuro- Developmental Training (NDT).

I believe in combining neurodevelopmental techniques, with therapeutic exercise, balance exercises as well as gait training for safe walking and functional mobility.

My goal, as I work with each member of the Rehab Team, is to provide personalized patient care while establishing treatment plans and home programs based on individual needs. Work to restore each patient to their highest level of function. We, at Snoqualmie Valley, value one on one treatment, and careful attention is given to each patient’s personal goals and specific needs.

Bio: I received a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology with a Minor in Psychology from the University of North Texas. I provide evaluation and treatment for problems related to language, speech, cognition, swallowing, and changes due to dementia. The overall goal of therapy is to maximize each individual’s function to allow them to be as independent as possible in their home environment. This objective is best achieved through the traditional methods of therapy in meaningful life situations.

Bio: I am a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy. My therapy evaluations and treatments address individualized, patient centered goals in order to achieve one’s optimal level of functioning physically, socially and emotionally. I work with the rehabilitation team in order to achieve comprehensive patient and family goals and needs in order to improve one’s quality of life and highest level of function.

My experience is with adult and older adult populations in acute care, acute rehabilitation, outpatient settings and workplace ergonomics. I am also involved in staff training for body mechanics and workplace ergonomics.

My personal interests include outdoor recreation, traveling and spending time with my friends and family.

Bio: I am a graduate of Green River Community College, with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy. I specialize in therapy for the elderly population both in skilled nursing and hospital settings. My expertise extends from in-patient care through home safety evaluations to ensure that patients successfully return home. I am a certified exercise instructor in the Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) program, currently taught at the North Bend Senior Center. My hobbies include hiking and biking in the Snoqualmie Valley.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation- from the University of Iowa, Iowa City

My goal is to promote each patient’s optimal leisure functioning throughout and after hospitalization by providing Recreational Therapy services that increase participation in recreation improve one’s quality of life.

My experiences include:

  • Inpatient physical rehabilitation in acute care settings with a focus on brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury
  • Implementation of interdisciplinary community reintegration programs
  • Development of horticultural therapy, music therapy, animal-assisted therapy and art therapy programs
  • I am published in the American Journal of Recreation Therapy featuring research on patient ambulation and animal-assisted therapy

My personal interests include playing guitar, reading, ceramics, exercising and being with friends and family.
